Pho So 1

I've been here several times. Their Rice Vermicelli Noodles are so good! I always get the Bun Dau Hu which have grilled tofu on top. So flavorful it's hard to believe it's not chicken! The Avocado boba I ordered was also delicious and a great pairing after I smothered my noodles with chili paste. My sister got the Rainbow Dessert- very unique to say the least! Wish it would have been a tad sweeter. We waited quite some time to be waited on, that being said our food came out incredibly fast. I'd also like to add that it was pretty steamy inside. Maybe AC wasn't running properly? My group got a little flushed.

Every rating under five stars is totally unjustifiable. If you want seriously authentic Vietnamese food served quickly at a great price, this is your spot. If you're looking for servers who kiss your ass or unnecessary fluff and pageantry, go elsewhere.

Always a welcoming atmosphere. You’re able to seat yourself and a service member will come and bring you a menu & complimentary water. The food usually comes out in a matter of a few minutes! I mean just about all dishes. The Chicken Pho is the absolute best! My go-to comfort food. The broth is amazing of course if you like lime, Sriracha, chili oil, or hosin they have plenty to make it suits your heat/ sweet level. 10/10 recommend trying! I don’t think you’d be disappointed family oriented Vietnamese restaurants always have THE BEST food!

Pho so 1 is absolutely the best! Their workers are so kind, and the food comes in 5-10 minutes. I have been to so many pho resteraunts in the Richmond area, and this resteraunt just can’t be beat!

Pretty large place. Quick to seat, with as many seats they have. Nothing to fancy, get your menu make your order and within a few minutes a steaming bowl of deliciousness is brought to your table. All your condiments are on the table, including you chopsticks and spoons. Good portions including your little veggie add-ons. Also got an order of shrimp rice rolls. Nice big and plump, perfect for dipping in the peanut sauce with a splash of chili pepper sauce. Good place to get a quick lunch.

My kids wanted Vietnamese food so we came here. Food was good. They were busy. I love their pork egg rolls. They both had pork and rice I had the bun mi.

Really good Vietnamese food. I always start with a grilled pork rice paper roll and peanut sauce. #12 soup is always a winner. #29 bowl is my other go to meal. Hit either one with some hoisin sauce, fish sauce and a little Sriracha sauce and you are good to go. Service can be a little random during busy times. Sometimes appetizers or meals for a group will not come out at the same time. But the servers are very responsive and helpful. All I know is I can't duplicate this flavor profile at home in my kitchen. So here I am back at Pho So 1. Definitely a favorite Richmond lunch or dinner spot. Oddly, they are closed on Tuesdays, so don't try to go on Tuesdays.

Biggest banh mi sandwich i have ever had at just 8.95! The pork tasted really good. This is interestingly a very spacious restaurant too. Next time I will try to Pho and fried rice.
